Could those that have S3 standby working (single-seat TV server setup ) post their hardware setup

I am interested in those that have a setup with goes into S3 standby successfully once left unattended, wakes for EPG grabbing and recording without issue.

For the record I had issues on resume from S3 (standby) with RC4.
I set the PC to always on.

I have been having excellent results with S3 standby! I use schedulesdirect, so no EPG grabbing, however waking for recording and going to standby right after is working without a hitch.
There were conflicts with Elby Virtual clone drive and XM Sharp as plugins, but once I deleted XM Sharp and changed back to Daemon tools, and restored settings everything seems to be working very well.
And to boot, with the Gigabyte mainboard S3 sleep can go to a full low level state. Less than 5 watts power used yet it comes back to full useability in 10 to 15 seconds.
Even have Wake on Lan working so I can wake up the system by loading MP client on my notebook.
    Now for release 1.0!!:)

Your profile shows RC3, is this correct?
I am using RC4 and now have S3 problems. I believe it worked fine for RC3.
Do you use a plugin to wake the PC up for recording?

I apologise, I am running RC4. When updating the profile I forgot to update the MP version.
There were so many difficulties with RC3 (for me) that I had rolled back to RC2.
RC4, however, has been extremely stable.
I have found that occasionally RC4 doesn't go into S3 standby or keeps waking up on it's own. Probably another plugin conflict.
However while in standby there have been zero failures to wake up for a scheduled recording.

And the plugins for standby are the standard PowerScheduler in TV Server and MP. I have found that both need to be enabled even though no events are set in the MP PowerScheduler.

I'm still using RC2 (waiting for Final to upgrade again) and PowerScheduler is working perfectly for going into standby and waking up. Indeed both pluging (TV-Server & Client) need to be set.

What i do see in my software folder is that i've download a new PowerScheduler.dll file from somewhere because i thing that had a bug in it.

I've attached it to this post, maybe it'll fix your problem.

This version is 0.9.2.0 RC4 comes with a newer version (0.9.4.20955)

Doing some more testing I have a feeling that the issues I have are actually with the client and not the TVServer but I am still experimenting

    Hi,

I had lots of trouble with S3 sleep with all versions prior to version 1 which now appears to have been resolved in version 1. I just left the default settings. Oh, I also did a clean install as per the instructions i.e. a total re-install.

    I'm running Vista 32 bit.

Keen to know if you have found the same.

    Cheers

    Graham
