does ff / rew work properly with livetv or recorded tv? (1 Viewer)

i am waiting for some new components to arrive so that I can do a complete rebuild of my current MCE setup to go with MediaPortal and to build a custom made 'extender' client for it...

I have had a play with MP 1.0 RC1 last weekend on my current vista box, and got it working, but with some of the known bugs and hangs...

One thing that stuck in mind was the performance of fast forward/rewind when viewing a recording... I didnt play with this much, but I thik when I pressed fwd it kinda paused the playback until I pressed play again.

It just didnt seem as slick as MCE or Sage, but then again I did not play much and my vista machine was possibly not well optimised for it...

My rebuild will be based on xp (until the vista crash is sorted properly anyway or anything compels me to upgrade) but if anyone can let me know if there is an issue here or if its just my and my limited test - am really looking forward to having a proper play with this over the coming days...

If use EVR as renderer, you get jumped frames FF\RW, if using VMR9 it should be pretty smooth.
