I read on the website of my cable supplier that normal SD digital tv can be broadcasted in Dolby Surround, Dolby Prologic or Prologic 2.
Dolby Surround, Dolby Prologic and Prologic 2 is 2 channel stereo upmixed to 4.0 or 5.1
How see: Dolby Pro Logic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I watch my HTPC to watch SD digital tv in 99% of all cases.
How to setup my HTPC in such a way, that I get surround sound?
Does anyone have an example Dolby Surround, Dolby Prologic and Prologic 2 MPEG 2 recording, that I can download, in order to be able to check if my system is properly set.
My details (More, see my system specs):
GigaByte GA-MA78GM-S2H v1.0 with onboard Realtek ALC889A.
Analogue 5.1 boxes, directly plugged into the realtek.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and if I tell anything that's not true, please tell me.
in advance!
