Double action with direction arrow buttons (1 Viewer)

I've just started using the great plugin, but after following the comprehensive setup guides and doco, I got one small niggly issue where the the remote thinks I'm pressing the direction arrows buttons twice.

Trying to navigate the home menu is difficult as it skips every second item.

I've disabled the Internal MCE remote support after the warning message I got. That since disappeared, but it seems it might be still active, due to the duplicate operation I'm getting.

I'm sorry if this is an obvious question, but I could find it in the faq/doco anywhere.

FYI. Not using the replacement driver as I want to keep the standard MP tray app. I'd use the Replacement Tray app, but I autostart MP at boot and rather not have to manully launch MP via the tray, if that makes sense.

    Hey Rob,

I've addressed your problem with the Replacement Tray app in your other thread. As for the double-clicking of arrow keys. You need to go into the plugin setup and click "Map MCE Buttons" and then "Remove Replacement Button Mappings".

It's in the docs, but everyone overlooks it. I've been meaning to have the plugin automate the removal, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

    Cheers,

    Hi and-81,

Is the Removal of Replacement Button Mappings going to be a one-way street? Will I have to re-install MediaPortal if I can't get the replacement plugin set up? I'm having problems getting a IR signal to my set-top box thru Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver so I am about ready to just go back to plain-Jane Mediaportal and certainly wouldn't want to have to re-install.

    Help would be appreciated.

You can restore the replacement driver button mappings by pressing the "default" button. Nothing is permanent.

    Cheers,

    Hi there and welcome

You did not give much information, but I will try to guess :)
If using IRSS, you must DESELECT the remote options in MP Configuration.
Otherwise the action is picked up twice: first by the normal MP Remote and second by the MP Control Plugin for IRSS

    Hi rekenaar !
    Thanks for the advice.
I previously was using the windows Media Center, however because of the quirks and lack of appeal, I decided to shift to Mediaportal. It's great, the skins are great, the program is great !
I'm sorry for the lack of info, but I'm using the windows MCE remote.
    Hope that helps !

    Hi everybody,
I'm experincing the same issue (with IR server suite) with microsoft MCE receiver/remote
I've solved removing the cursors and OK mapping in the MP control plugin
Of course MCE in the remote section of configuration is deselected

My impression is that the "disable automatic buttons" in the input service configuration doesn't work (the cursor are take unce by the microsoft driver and once by the plugin mapping)

let me know what you think about it

    bye
