Downsizeing the output from the tv-server (1 Viewer)

Hello,

TVCard: Haupauge PVR 500mce
TVServer: Rev16369
Mediaportal: Rev16239

Is it posible to downsize the tvoutput from the tv-server. So that the resolution of the tv-signal is smaller ? I ask because i want to use my tv-server over the internet, and when i watch tv, it uses about 6-7Mbit of bandwith watching tv. I was hoping to go beneeth 3mbit (regardless of the quality).

Is this possible at all ? And if it is, can you distinques between clients ? so that my LAN client gets max quality, and my internet client gets the downsized quality ?

Hello,

Such settings would have to be controlled by the application accessing the
board. They can't be change on the card itself.

So there is no "firmware" that can be manipulated so that the tv-card is giving out the wanted output size..... So its up to Medieportal.

My question still stands.

With graphedit you can set de bitrate and resolution of the tv-card.

this thread talk about increasing the quality, offcourse you can do also the oposite.
