MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2.0
MediaPortal Skin: default (and wide)
Videolan: 0.8.5
Dreambox: 500s
Dreambox software: Malossi 1.1 'begins', rel 1.09.1 LZMA, kernel 2.6.9 based on PLI

I was pleasantly surprised finding out that the new released version 0.2.2.0 supported the Dreambox plugin by Gary Wenneker. There is a lot to read about it in previous threads. I'd like to focus on what is needed in order get this working in the new version 0.2.2.0.

I did a clean MP install with videolan vlc 0.8.5. Enabled the 'videolan' (vlc) and 'My Dreambox' plugin in MPsetup. Configured the 'My Dreambox' plugin by ip(dreambox) with user name and password (IE root/dreampasswd).

Within MP's main menu 'My Dreambox' opens as normal 'my tv screen' where I can see the channel info. Info like 'RTL4' and name of the program actually running on the dreambox. Zapping to other channels works but no picture/tv is displayed in the area to the right. Turning 'on' (radio button turning orange) results in a crash of MP. Disabling the videolan (vlc) plugin, MP doesn't crash but it keeps 'loading' endlessly.

Pasting the dreambox cgi string (from MP log file) in videolan (vlc) displays the channel/tv with some hick ups.

What is needed to configure MP/videolan in order to display dreambox tv within MP properly? Somehow a list of confirmed dreambox images/software versions would be great. Are more people having similar behavior?

This is my MP log file:
