Ok ive just majorly edited this post as ive been playing since and have now sorted it!!! My steps... 1. Fresh Win7 64 Install (Got onboard HD3200, and have the Xonar 1.3 Slim). 2. Installed Catalyst 10.4 drivers, latest Win7 Xonar Driver). 3. Installed all my apps, TMT3, MP 110 RC2 etc. Basically setting up the entire machine without doing codecs. 4. Configured Xonar to HDMI, 8 channels, DTS Interactive. 5. Configured PC to Playback to output on "S/PDIF Pass-through" for the Xonar. 6. Taken images / system restores just in case :) 7. Installed latest SAF 5. 8. Now ive followed some of the steps in the guide by BMan (you legend)... 8.1. Register the audio renderer. 8.2. Install HD Pack 2.3 only selecting whats shown in guide. 8.3. Configured MP as per whats shown in the guide. Note: being lazy i didnt actually reinstall ffdshow or edit the codec merits using RadLight. I figured i would do this if it didnt work, but it worked without me needing to. 9. Now i launch MP and try to play something with a DTS-HD track and my amp lights up correctly. I can still play normal DD5.1, DTS too. HOWEVER i do have some problems... 1. After installing the HD Pack 2.3 my copy of TMT3 no longer works. It loads ok but i can no longer play a mounted BluRay image. This worked immediately before installing the HD Pack. I was using TMT3 as it was the only player I found that could send the bluray DTS:MA and TrueHD audio to my amp (thus amp showing the light). Not sure what i need to do here to get it working again? 2. All WMV files do not play at all if the "Audio Renderer" is set to the "ArcSoft Audio Renderer". If i play one, it flickers the screen (prob coz i have refresh rate changer) and then im back to MP. However MP is completely locked up and all i can do is crash it. If i set my audio renderer back to "Default DirectSound" then wmv files play fine. But of course doing this breaks the mkv playback for files that have a DTS:MA or TrueHD audio track. 3. All files that have a MP3 2.0 audio track load ok, but there is no sound. This also only happens going through the "ArcSoft Audio Renderer". Same issue as no.2 above. 4. The other issue i have which isnt really related is all WMV files do not play their digital audio tracks (obviously when the audio rendered mentioned above is not ArcSoft). It all comes through as stereo. I can get around it if in the FFDShow Audio settings i tick "AC3(S/PDIF encode mode". This then makes wmv files play but i then get crashes playing mkv files. I think its something to do with passing through the DD, DTS as well. Like its getting in a loop. Feel like im close to an understanding here but not quite there yet! :) Any ideas how i can sort these issues at all? Really appreciate the help!!! Thanks, D.
