Hey everyone, I'm having a very hard time finding out whats causing this stutter with DTS passthrough. I've tried all the codec combinations I can think of. Currently I have SAF 6 with ffdshow DXVA, with ffdshow audio decoder running. I've tried Spdifer, Ac3filter, LAV, and obviously ffshow. If passthrough is enabled, I get a stutter. CPU utilization is under 25% the entire time, plenty of rm available, etc. If passthrough is disabled, then it works fine. I had passthrough working just great, but I had to reformat and ever since then I can't get it to work. Any ideas?:D

Here's a screenshot of graphedit, which audio settings did you want a screenshot of?

Here's AC3filter, funny thing is that when I'm in Mediaportal, ffdshow is used; at least the icon is on the taskbar while the movie is playing.

here's ffdshow:

I don't think that MP is using ac3filter, because it is set to passthrough, which is not happening at all. If I set it to passthrough in ffdshow, it will passthrough, with the stuttering of course.

Ok, then instead play a movie in MP and then swap out of it, Alt+tab and open graphedit > file > connect to remote graph and show us which codecs are used when you play in mediaportal.

Well you don't have passthough enabled in ffdshow.

In order for a movie to play (withoutstutter) I have to have passthrough disabled. I'll enable it for this screenshot though.

this was when passthrough was enabled through ffdshow.

Ok.. Shouldn't happen. I remember having same issue, but not how i fixed it.(perhaps you have a bad svn version?)

The easiest solution would now be to uninstall every codec you have and then install SAF6 https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/codecs-331/saf-v6-00-based-lavf-95635/
Please set settings acording to the screenshots and during install tick use passthrough. Should be more or less obvious how to do it.

Let me know what happens then.

I have tried that numerous times, but I will try it one more time just to be sure.
