Hi,
I have some HD movies, batman begins and Casion Royale that make horrific noises through my speakers when playing. I check the AMP and the DTS flag is on, so it appears as though it is recieving the DTS feed. The problem is it sounds as though my speakers are going to explode and I have to stop the movie.
I am using a SoundBlaster card to send the sound data to my amp via spdif, other sources and movies work fine without this sound glitche.
Dont suppose anyone else has encountered this issue before and has any suggestions. Im thinking its most probably some settings in my Audio codecs that are messing things up?
for any help/info
Its ok I fixed it, I changed the configuration in Media Portal for movie playback to use the AC3Filter not the default 'MPA Decoder Filter' and I now have perfect DTS sound. Now my speakers will not be blown
Anyone know why this is though?
