Testing some MKV files with DTS sound, in Windows Media Player the sound plays back fine, the tray icons reflect that ffshow audio decoder is not in use, when WMP is playing the file. What does WMP use to decode the audio track? I've tried different decoders in Mediaportal, all of them produce choppy crappy sound, kind of stuttering. I use 2x stereo amplifiers and 1 set of wireless speakers for surround. All connected with mini jack connectors to the integrated Realtec ACL 888 based soundcard on my motherboard.
Installed codecs are ffdshow, coreavc ,haali media splitter and AC3 filter.
Anyone come across this problem, or even better has some kinda solution?
