I'm currently using an old DNTV Live! Dual Hybrid PCI-E (not the S2) and it doesn't get recognised in TV Server, although it's working fine in MyTV Client.

I'm planning to upgrade to TV Server and am now looking at getting another tuner card.

Wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable Dual DVB-T card that works smoothly with TV Server?

    Hi mistakanista,

I guess there aren't that many on the market. I have tried the Hauppage Nova T-500 which is a PCI/USB-based card. Worked OK but had problems with standby. The replaced it with a Terratec Cinergy 2400i which is based PCI-Express. It has worked really well for me. The only downside is that it is only the Free-To-Air channels.

That is fixed, not had a failed standby\resume recording using latest svn's for over a month.

    Hi Ray,

I'm glad it has been fixed in MP but I think my problems were lower-level. When I resumed from standby the device disappeared from the Device Manager and wouldn't come back until I rebooted... At the time I was using another package than MP but this problem was there even under XP itself.

has it been fixed internally in tv server? or is it using external programs u mentioned in another posts?

i recommend T500 aswell, apart from standby issues, works great so if u are not going into standby u are good.

Setting TVServer config\general, recognise card delay to 20 seconds after standby and reinitiliase tuner within TVServer\plugin powerscheduler should now be sufficient for successful running of a T500.

MP config\general\delay, MP set to start once TVServer fully operational.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone for all the replies!

Looks like the T-500 might be a good option. The only thing stopping me at the moment is the price: it's around AU$175 down here.

Has anyone had any experience with KWorld PCI DVB-T-220 and got it working with TV Server? Would love to be able to use it since it's only half the price.
Also what was the experience with USB (dongle) style dual tuners?

Otherwise I will just go with the T-500 to be safe and possibly avoid a lot of hassle.

    Thanks again!

Running two dual tuner dvb-t usb2 'dongles' without problems for months .

Four independent tuners covers all my multirecording needs. The best reception I have had from any tested tuner in six years of DVB-T here in the UK.

Azurewave AD-TU700 , drivers from TWINHAN as it is a 'badge' engineered model.

    HI

Just a quick note on the Nova T 500.
Ive had one for about a year or so and have been plagued by bsod problems. I tried the card in several different machines and always the same issue. A quick search on the net showed that I was not the only one suffering from this problem as I found many posts about it including some in the MP forums.

The cause of the problem was eventually found to be the version of usbehci.dll used in XP. I have now sorted this issue and the card works brilliantly and picture quality is excellent. I am now a happy bunny and would be more than happy to buy another one if the need should arise.
All the info you need about this problem can be found in this thread (its amazing the difference 1 small file can make).
