Good stuff! That is some valuable info regarding the T-500! Thanks very much for that, bolders.

I think I will go with the T500.

I like the idea of having the card inside my box as opposed to an external USB device and space might get a bit tight behind the box as well.

Thanks again to everyone!

Since you are in Australia, most people go for this card:
    http://www.digitalnow.com.au/product_pages/DNTVDualS2.html

$139 including delivery and it has two digital tuners and two analog tuners built in.
I haven't tried the analog with TV Server so can't say if it works, but the digital ones are great and it's true PCIe format. Lots of dual tuner cards (either PCI or PCIe) are USB cards on a PCI USB hub and give issues.

There are MANY other threads about recommendations for TV Tuner cards in Australia, do a search and read some of them.

I do see it's out of stock now, but not sure how long until new stock is available.

Thanks Marcus. As I said in my OP, I currently have the old version of the DigitalNow card. Quite happy with it but just a shame it doesn't get recognised in TV Server. If the S2 works fine with TV Server I'll consider it again.

Im using this usb card dvb-t dual tuners and its working good in MP (Im not an expert in MP), its very cheap also, I purchased it at 39 € recently.

    url: Welcome to KWorld

did u buy that in spain?

if its working good it looks promising to have more channel possibilities in my server and exchange it to my laptop when out of home.

    thanks

    Sorry to answer so later.

daleski: the change channel time is a bit slow. Not tried with suspend.

Gixxer: yes, purchased in Spain (pccomponentes).

The fact is that I started to have problems with this card and MP RC2. For some unknown reason sometimes the record dont start, other times it start recording without problems (thats driving me crazy). Whe it dont start recording and I try 2 or 3 times hitting the record button then if I look in the tv configuration tool I see all the schedules active and many duplicate and triplicate tuner entries in the manual control tab!! very strange, maybe MP dont support it very well being a dual tuner card and seems to be confused with this card.

Im starting to try RC3 and it seems to operate with more coherency, but some high cpu hit problems are showing. Im sorry but im a bit tired with all that MP behaviour.
