Hi!

First of all, sorry if this isn't the place to ask these kind of things. I'm completely new to all this.
I've just buyed a Phillips LED TV, and use it mainly plugged into the pc. So, the dumb questions begin:

Everything i've read about Mediacenter includes a TV tuner card, but I don't have one since I have the TV plugged to the PC, and switch with the tv control from TV to HDMI (PC)

- Can I control MediaCenter with my television remote? How?
- If so, can I swith from TV to PC (and play movies stored in my hard drive)?
- I'm looking some configuration tutorials but then again, this is really new to me.

Thanks! :)

Hello Gabo and welcome to mediaportal!
First of all there is no such thing like a dumb question.
I don't really get what you mean to say about the tv card - don't you want to use one or do you think this wouldn't work with your setup?
Anyway, to answer your question 1 and 2 I can say: "yes, you can" :D and would like to refer to this plugin:

For your third question check the mp wiki:

I hope that helps for the time and please ask if you have more questions.

    Cheers,

    Rico

1 and 2: Yes. You could use CEC or a universal remote, ie Logitech Harmony. That being said, if you had a TV-tuner card working, you wouldn't need to, as your PC would be the STB :).
