I am currently experimenting with a DVB-T USB stick in my HTPC. I tested it first on my Ubuntu machine, using w_scan and me-tv. That worked fine, picked up all Dutch FTA channels + the encrypted ones, and a lot of free German channels. When I added the stick to my HTPC, and scanned in TV-server with the 'Netherlands - All regions' preset, all the same channels were found, except the Dutch FTA channels (Nederland 1,2 and 3 and the regional channel). I couldn't find a way to manually add them (requires transport id etc, which is not provided anywhere on the net). So I looked in the channels.conf I generated with w_scan on my Ubuntu box, and noticed that those channels were at 482 Mhz. I checked TV-server's dvbt.xml, and saw that this frequency was missing!

<carrier frequency="462000"></carrier>
<carrier frequency="474000"></carrier>
<carrier frequency="482000"></carrier> <--- This I added
<carrier frequency="490000"></carrier>
<carrier frequency="498000"></carrier>

Now, autodetecting went fine, and the 4 missing channels were found. This change should probably be added in the next release.

Thanks mate!
I had the same problem when experimenting with dvb-t. Adding this fixed finding the fta channels.

FTA not working

Hi There,

I have the exact same problem, but adding the carrier frequency did not get me anything. the FTA-channels (NED1, NED2, NED3 and the regional one) + FTA radio channels are not found when scanning.

Anybody here have a solution?

I have done a clean install, BDA driver installed (FloppyDTV tuner), latest TV Server, cam enabled (the encrypted channels are no problem)

In a former install of Vista, i used VMC: all channels where available in VMC.
I'd like to use media portal...i like the skins and plugins, but proper working tv is high WAF parameter ;)

Hope someone can help.

Thanks in advance!

in my case frequency 706000 was missing...apparently the frequencies are not the same across the country.

Please provide a entry for each dutch region with corresponding freqs.

We will take care of updating the reference file.

This is what i added to the dvbt.xml.
I dont know frequencies of other regions, so cant help with that. maybe others can fill in the blanks.
