    Hello,

It is time to call in the community forces and ask for advice in what DVB-C device fits my requirements.
Currently I'm running my radio and TV from a Hauppauge PVR500 (analog). I would like to have additional a DVB-C to get all the goodies that (almost) all of you are also having.

    Requirements:
    1. must be supported by MP ;)
    2. External (as my server is a mini-itx system)
    3. connection via USB (because I do not have a free pci slot nor fire-wire)
    4. Cable (for the dutch: ziggo territory ;))
    5. must have a CI (for watching encrypted channels)

All other features are nice to have ;)

    Looking forward to your suggestions!

    regards,
    Ruud.

    Okay,

this route has ended in a dead end. Sent these guys over in china an enail, but no response whatsoever.
Yesterday ordered the only (partly) working USB DVB-C solution: Technotrend CT-3650 HDTV USB+CI (DVB-C/T)+TT-Viewer + Alphacrypt Multicrypt

It is in backorder so will take some days before it will arive.

now lets hope that Ziggo (cable provider) will not push ci+ to hard and still accept normal CI's.

    Thread closed ;)
    regards,
    Ruud.
