Hello all,

I am searching a DVB-S2 TV-Card (PCI or PCIe) with a CI-Module for a Cryptoworks/Irdeto CAM (Austrian ORF Channel).
Until now I just found the TERRATEC Cinergy S2. But then I found some threads that this TV-Card is slow (at switching) and don't works sometimes. Finaly I searched a lot and dind't find a TV-Card that matches all the criteria (DVB-S2 + CI-Module).

Maybe someone here has a TV-Card that supports ORF or that almost has HDTV and a CI slot.

Thank you very very much in advance

AW: DVB-S2 + CI (for ORF - Austria)

Hello to all,

I have found now the following bundle:

TechnoTrend Budget S2-3200 HDTV-S2 +Budget-CI+TT-Viewer

I hope this one works. I will order it and test it.

    Hi,

I´m looking for the same (I´m going to buy Skylink card with Irdeto crypting).
Only card that I know (and I had) is Skystar HD2 + CI slot - all together about 100 EUR.

My goal was to have dual card to be able record one channel and watch other (decoding two channels in one time).
But it is not possible. Mainly with Irdeto card.

So I gave it up and now I´m looking for perfect DVB-S2 card with CI slot, which works like a charm in MePo (and have fast channel switching).
And with normal price for sure.

    Any suggestions???

These cards work well. I'm not sure about with ORF, but generally...

The Skystar HD2 is *identical* to the Terratec Cinergy S2 PCI HD.

It depends on the tuner, the software and the CAM. In MediaPortal we support this function with Technotrend and Digital Everywhere tuners. There is also "beta" support for it with some Twinhan, Terratec, Technisat and KNC tuners. You just need to find a CAM that works.

i have the Digital Devices Cine S2 v5.5 + CI with one (shared) mascom cryptoworks cam which works fine... i had a TechnoTrend Budget S2-3200 HDTV-S2 +Budget-CI before, but always had problems with the CI, so i would not recommend it...

the digital devices card is way better in terms of stability

FloppyDTV with CI works also like a charm.

Well there are some users with problems with the floppydtv and ci (depending on the cam I would guess). Also as they are no longer in business there is no longer any ongoing support/development on the drivers.

    Hello SonnyBoy,

which OS (WinXP, Win7) are you using, and do you have any problems regarding hibernation and resume with the TBS 6928?
