Hi there,

i tried the MP-Wiki but its not finished yet an shows only analog cards..So i ask here:

Do DVB-T (USB)Cards need this hardware-encoding chip or will do "normal" DVB-T Cards with MP to record / display TV ?

As i learned analog cards need this chip...

Any idea which cheap USB DVT-T will work with MP ?

thx in advance

As DVB is already in MPEG2 format, then no further encoding is required - so the hardware encoding chip is not relevant to DVB cards.

What country are you in - that may determine what is available...

I am using the Hauppauge Nova-t USB2 box. It works fine with MediaPortal.
However, there are other USB options especially for DVB-t.
However there are also USB sticks on the market, all you need is a so called
BDA driver for your device. Sticks are a bit smaller than the Hauppauge box.
