I have a local community station that transmits corrupt EPG data and it can crash the TV service. Certainly a trap for beginners that makes MP look more unstable than it actually is. Just like to see the ability to tolerate bad data without crashing.
A second trap for beginners is not setting a static IP even on single seat installs. This caused me no end of headaches and crashes. Maybe we should have a prominent warning about static IPs at the end of the install process. Much like tolerating bad EPG data it might save a lot of support issues.
