DVB-T EPG on hybrid cards (1 Viewer)

I have an Hauppauge HVR-1300 MCE card which is hybrid digital/analog. I had to disable the "Grab EPG" button in the Program Guide configuration page (as the comment on the button and the manual suggests).

Now, is this a sort of "bug" (I tried to set it but it had negative effects on the analog part of the card...) or are there technical limitations that prevents this from working?

I mostly watch digital channels, so I'd like to have EPG grabbed automatically, but I don't want to lose the analogue channels. I wouldn't mind if EPG grabbing stops while watching analogue channels, as long as it works while watching digital ones.

The HVR-1300 can only use one portion at a time so you cant use both the analogue and digital at the sametime. While its only grabbing epg data, that may be enough to upset the rest of the card.
