I looked on the 'Recommended HW' page from the MP main menu, and was rather disappointed that only 2 devices were featured. I expected a big table with many common models. Instead, just the FireDTV and FloppyDTV? Surely MP is more compatible than that?
I live in Australia and want to capture free-to-air digital TV broadcasts.
I don't think I need support for the DVB-CI standard. Just a 'pure' DVB-T card/USB2 would do the job.
I don't need analog video capture.
I want to use an old 2.2 GHz Celeron for the job; Mostly just for watching and timed recording, timeshift is nice (does MP interface support timeshift?) but not essential.
It will be connected to a SDTV, so HD capture is pointless.
A dual-DVB-T tuner for watching one channel while recording another would certainly be neat, but again, I could live without it.
A MCE remote+IR receiver must be included. I bought a Streamzap remote separately last time -- boy, what a mistake that was!
If you have used or are using such a capture device with MediaPortal and it's working for you, please respond.
Thanks for reading!
