Currently using LAV for audio, have set video to use LAV in both config setting and MP settings, but whenever I use shift+1- it states using MS DVD-DVT codec ?

Cheers Owl - did you notice I have changed my avatar to an SEO, bird photography is my first passion, and this owl gave me a great show a few weeks back. Will try the suggestions in the morning - but will probably be upgrading/rebuilding later in the week.

PD, thanks for the app, what am i going to be looking for.

This checks for latency, usually caused by misbehaving hardware\drivers, if there are spikes it will interfere with playback of video.

The usual culprits are network controllers and video\audio drivers, but could also be TV card.

Its a quick test, just run for a couple of minutes and see if anything shows up.
