DVBLink 5.5 and MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

Hi There!

First, sorry for my poor english and second, im not sure where to post this problem so i just put it here in newcomers forum..

I live in Denmark and i've been using Mediaportal for some time now, but since my Danish Cable TV provider "YouSee" have changed something? some of the channels appear as scrambled, but they should no be.

They all work directly on my TV so they are NOT scrambled at all.....

So just to try somthing, i installed DVBLink 5.5 and again all channels are working, but only with KODI or WMC and i want to use MediaPortal!!!

Im not sure why Mediaportal think that some of the channels are scrambled, but some time ago i found a forum thread, where they where talking about something with "semi" scrambled thing that mediaportal was not able to do, not sure why.

Whatever.. in mediacenter i can find 8 pcs. of DVBLink tuners but they are listed as DVB-T and i can't find ANY TV channels on either of them.

The same 8 tuners are listed in WMC and there i can find ALL my TV channels, but sadly not in Mediaportal...

If anyone have any solution on how to get DVBLink 5.5 and Mediaportal 1.13.0 working together, i might live to see next week....

Hello and welcome to the forum

DVBLink should not be necessary. It should be possible to get all your channels with MediaPortal (inc. MediaPortal's TV Server) only.

Can you please provide log files showing what happens when you try to start viewing a channel that MediaPortal says is scrambled.

I will try to make a log file later and post it here.

But if some of the channels Mediaportal can find are scrambled, even when they should not be, then Mediaportal can't show them.
But my TV can ? i dont unerstand how that can be..

Another Thread i found, some guy say just to set the channels to FTA (free to air) i can do that, but still can't show the channel in Mediaportal.
So it looks like the channels are scrambled...

Are there no way i can use DVBLink in Mediaportal TV server ? then all would be working.....

I'd like to be able to provide an explanation. However, in order to provide an explanation I need to understand what is happening, and I can't understand what is happening without the log files.

It might be possible, but I don't know how... and I think it would probably be just as hard to find out how to use DVBLink as to find a solution without DVBLink.

So in short: please provide the log files. After that I can explain and hopefully we can find the easiest solution.
