Hi All, Just a quick note to save some of you the blood lust i've been suffering. 1. All hauppauge cards at present only support Diseqc 1.0 and some of the hvr4000 wil do Diseqc 1.1 the documentation is patchy but they seem communicate in raw code format with the Diseqc switches and basically they dont like it. so avoid those cards like the plagues is the advice!!! 2. You cannot use a 22Khz switch if you have a universal LNB. These are quite popular in NZ as freeview vendors will lazily tune Optus D1 and the likes of Freeview vendors and others will happily sell these LNB's to you. In my own setup i'm running Mediaportal with Gospell (C Band LNB) - Intelsat 2 - BBC / Aus network (Although no EPG) Generic (Universal LNB) - Optus D1 - Freeview NZ and we're getting overspill from Aussie SBS at present. I have a Hauppauge HVR 3000 which has DVBS/DVB-T/ Analog onboard, they are a nightmare, stay away from them!! Also have a Hauppauge Nova-S DVB-S on another PCI card, solid card if only single cable needs, but cannot handle the diseqc i need on current switch, and because i have a universal LNB i cannot use a 22Khz switch. DVB-T works fine, but the hybrid setup is a shocker, and i;ve never go it to work properly aside of disbling all but the dvb-t and using that. My underlying system is Antec Fusion case (rm 200 Remote with Mediaportal map for IMON) AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 3600 2GB Ram 1.9tb of storage Its attached to a 42inch Panasonic plasma and IS out STB similar to Mysky. Tomorrow i will be off to garner a new Diseqc 1.0 compatible Diseqc switch and see waht happens then.
