    Hi,

I created a DVBT/C plugin for automatic channel scans. It based on SetupTV but works without GUI of course.

It is very-very simple but can add the new channels to a group (for example your favourite group).
The channel movement detection is enabled.
It runs when the TV server starts.
The EPG is enabled for the new channels.

    Change log:
    • v.1.1.0: run only at once on same day.

I added the 1st public version for testing.

Make backup from your MySql database:

    1. Stop TvService
    2. Stop MySql service
    3. copy the c:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.6\ to a safe folder
    4. Start MySql service
    5. Copy the DVBScanUtilPlugin.dll to the c$:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\Plugins\ folder
    6. Start TvService

    1. Start SetupTv and enable the plugin.
    2. Fill the fields. Leave the unused fields empty. You may leave the group field empty too if you don't want to place the new channels to a group.
    3. Remove some channels for testing.
    4. Restart the TvService
    5. Start SetupTv and go to Manual Control to check the progress of the scanning.
    6. Report the result. :)

Initialy I got the "DVBTScanUtilPlugin: missing tuning config" error. Turns out a new channels to a group needs to exist, before adding
So far so good, more will follow. Testing is not that easy, as there's little to go on visually (initiate manual scrape, etc.).
BUT!! This could really save us all a load of work in the Ziggo area!
