I was actually looking at GBPVR but needed an XP OS so I thought I might as well get the MCE version. At least I would have a fallback solution if GBPVR didn't work out. However, it turned out that GBPVR could not handle encoded DVB-T channels. Since MCE is a bit too "ready-made" for me I never intended it to be more than a fallback solution. Now Media Portal has turned out to be my primary front end.
