DVD (ISO or video_TS) won't play...??? (1 Viewer)

I'm having trouble to play DVD whether it's in ISO or video_TS folder. in ISO, daemon tool has mounted the image (btw, where can I find the older version that doesn't have the slash mounting screen?), no problem. however, MP internal player didn't play the movie! in Moving Picture, selected the movie, click, the screen either turn to black for a sec then back to the movie screen or it didn't do anything just stay at the movie screen. however, it did seem MP tried to play it as when I do it again the next time, it did ask me if I want to resume the movie e.g. at 0:30.

this is happening in 2 different of my HTPC (one vista, one xp). what's wrong???

I've tried PowerDVDx7, Nvidia, codec and navigator in the DVD codec setup, and result are the same. again this happen on both DVD ISO or video_TS folder. all mkv, rmvb, avi files play fine.

ok, when I change the codec to use ffdshows, and check codec mpeag2 in ffdshows, now I can play the DVD rips. but the pic quality is not the best that I'm hoping for tho..... why can't I use PowerDVD or NVidia Pure video codec?? or any setup tips to use them?
