i seem to have an issue when navigating thru DVD menus.
they load and play OK to a point.
when i get to the DVD menu i cannot move about the options visibily, but i can select them - this is hard to explain.

example:
i had 24 season 1 disc 1 in.
it loaded and up came the main menu.
i had 4 options (episode 1,2,3 and 4)
i was able to move the highlight to whatever option i wanted.
i chose episode 1
it then loaded the next menu (play episode, chapters etc etc)
i am now unable to highlight any option - BUT if i move the cursor down once and press enter, it selects it and plays - so it only seems to be the highlight option that isn't working.

has anyone else experience this issue ? it's quite bizarre that it works at one point and then not at another point.

Yes, I had that same problem, and I noticed that it only occured on DVDs that had some form of copy protection. Installed DVD43 and the problem was fixed .... :)

BTW, I am using the CyberLink video decoder with an ATI card - I mention that too, as I noticed that the effect of menu issue varied with the different video decoders ... weird ...
