I am unable to play DVD in MP1.0.0.0. Anybody knows a solution?
TV-recordings play fine. XVID/Divx plays fine.
DVDs, both from disc and from file play only the left half of the screen both in full screen and in window mode. Opening in Windows media player 11 almost the same bahavior. The difference in WMP11 is that the right half is updated with flickering bars. In Mediaportal 1.0.0.0 the right half just freezes on the first frame and stays that way.
In VLC the DVDs play fine.
I tried switching codecs (ATI,Cyberlink,FFDshow). No progress.
Turned off Windows Media Acceleration in Catalyst Control Center. No progress.
I am clueless!!
More tests:
-removed one postprocessing filter at a time-no success
-disabled FFDshow filters-no success
-verified that there were no plugins except for xmltv
-during testing I noticed that sometimes the whole screen is played for a while, but with big tearing VERTICALLY (in the center of the movie)! I know that VMR9 exclusive mode fixes tearing horisontally. Is there a similar fix for vertyical tearing/freezing?
