I am have been using MP for about 3 months, and I am having a problem with playback of DVD files on my hard drive. When I start the playback it loads to the movie main menu no problem, but when I select play I get a black screen with audio only. I then press stop, and go back to MP menu, I press play again, and select continue from where the video left off and it plays no problem. It happens for most of my DVD's but not all, and my movies are spread over three drives, and drive does not seem to matter. My Divx and H264 movies do not have this issue

I am running an AMD 5200 on a ASUS MB with built in video ATI 3200, and 2gb of ram. This is HTPC and only MP is running, other then a few system files.

Any suggestions on why I have to play the files twice before I get picture? This I find is just an annoying bug.

    Hi Blueowl!

    - Check if "Turn off DxVA" helps, you find it under DVD Codecs settings.
    - Try different codecs.

What verision of MP are you running, and what codec?
