Hello.

I have a problem that has been bothering me for a long time. First my hardware setup:

Mainboard: MSI Neo 945P
CPU: Pentium D 3.0 ghz
Mem: 1gb ddr2 pc4200
HDD: 320gb WD 16mb SATA
Tuner: Terratec 2400dt dual tuner
Graphicscard: MSI Nvidia Geforce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 dual dvi + s-video

TV: Hyundai ImageQuest Q421H, 1024 x 768

Mediaportal 0.2 RC4, MCE2005 with all updates, Nvidia forceware Version: 91.31, Nvidia Purevideo Version: 1.02-196.

When I connect to the tv via DVI the picture is crystal clear, but with an annoying stutter/jitter/jerky motion about every second. Especially in sports and when the camera pans over a huge background, landscape. Like it's dropping some frames, or like slow motion. This happens at any resolution or refresh rate. This applies to all video, live tv, recorded tv. in any player and deinterlace mode, overlay or vmr9.

But when i connect via s-video the video runs perfect and smooth! Put the picture quality is of course not so good.

I've tried all dvd decoders i know. Old drivers, new drivers. I've tried a radeon x1300 with the same result.
What causes this? Isn't the graphics card able to draw the full screen every frame with DVI? Is it the tv that doesn't manage to process the input fast enough?

Any input appreciated!

you should try installing reclock..

the problem most likely will be refreshrate related..
reclock adjusts some clock to be a multiple of the refreshrate the video was ment to play on..

I'm not a specialist, but you can find more infoe when searching for reclock..

good luck..

Check that you display adapter is feeding picture with correct refresh rate when DVI is connected. 50/75/Hz for PAL and 60 for NTSC
