The above solution will work excellent for MediaPortal.If for some reason you want to control other applications with your DVICO remote , I just added support for DVICO remotes in Intelliremote and there is a dvico.xml profile included which maps all the buttons of the DVICO remote. You would then just need to changed the keys it sent to the MediaPortal shortcuts if you wanted to or ITunes or any other app. Just thought I would mention it.
