Hi there,

I have an odd situation... I am obviously missing something and I hope that someone can shed some light for me.

I have been recording all of the world cup games... I decided I wanted to back them all up and start cataloging them... All the games saved out individual files with the exception of one game...

This is the strange thing... within MP->Recorded TV, I can see the game in question (England v Paraguay), when I press play, the whole game plays no worries, when I look on the file system, the only file referring to that game is only 21k... (all the other games are there around 4gb). This 21k file wont open in any application. When I move that 21k file to another location, MP will no longer play that game for me...

I have searched my system top to bottom for the file that contains the game but can't seem to find it anywhere...

What am I missing?

Cheers...

You have to go into Folder Options -> View

Untick Hide Protected Operating System files. This will let you see the hidden .SBE files attached to that DVR-MS file.

this is the way that the MS stream buffer engine handles timeshift recording. If you start to record a show from after it has started and choose "Record current program" then it uses the timeshift data to make the file from the beginning. The tiny file is kind of like an index of all the other files.

This is the second time I have typed this message in within the last few hours :)
