I'm experiencing an issue with Dynamic Refresh Rate not working for video files running off my internal DVD drive in My Videos. I first noticed this when switching from MP 1.0.2 to the 1.1.0 SVN builds and am still experiencing it on 1.1.0 RC1.
I've tested both Xvid/avi and x264/mkv progressive (23.976 fps) video files and my display stays at 60Hz. When playing these same files off the HDD, USB, or over the network, Dynamic Refresh Rate switches to 24Hz as it should.

Has anyone else experienced this?

By default, Dynamic Refresh Rate is now disabled for DVDs, as it adds about 30 seconds to the intial startup of the DVD. You can enable it in MP Configuration > DVD section.

This is intentional that the RefreshRate Changer is disabled for DVDs because of the additional time needed to find out the refresh rate of the inserted DVD. As mentioned above it can be enabled under the DVD settings.

I'm using MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1, and I totally fail in trying to find this setting. Has it been removed?

In MP config, in DVD>DVD Player there is a setting called Use MediaInfo for DVDs. Enable it.
