I am using a custom resolution to get rid of the overscan on my plasma. I have created the custom resolution with the Nvidia control panel.
My default framerate is set to 50hz, if I now watch a 24p movie MP is switching to the right framerate (24p) but instead using my custom resolution it uses the default one with the overscan.

    I think you need to create a custom resolution for each refresh rate you use - e.g. 23.976, 24, 50, 59.94 & 60 Hz

As far as I know, MP just asks Windows to change the refresh rate - what happens after that is up to the nVidia drivers....

The nvidia control panel automaticliy also created those framerates.
For sure 50, 60 and 24hz. I have to look agin into the control panel later.

On a different note - have you tried setting the TV to "Just Scan" instead of 16:9 - not all TV manufactures have it, but it allows Nvidia chipsets to work without creating custom resolutions.
