Easy way to add artwork? (1 Viewer)

Hi people,

I have a small question..

When a serie has no/missing artwork, you can easily login to thetvdb.com and add the missing file(s) manually.. I have done that by example for this serie: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=81699&seasonid=31610&lid=13

I added the season dvd covers.. But when I'm doing a new search for the serie in the plugin configuration, It's not finding them, and there is no way to add them manually..

Any idea?

EDIT: BTW, It is working fine when I delete the serie from the database and after I delete the thumb folder of the serie.. But this should be go easier right?

Perhaps the data of TheTvDB for the Web Frontend is hosted on another database like the one for the API connection and the data is synced by some job or something like that. Some webpages do this to regulate traffic.

It could help to wait some time (a day or two) and try it again.

TheTVDB is less appealing for me than it was in the past. Their availability is dreadfully, getting lots of timeouts. And when I once tried to upload different season banners ("contribute!") for one series it showed me the first uploaded banner again and again for all following seasons. Must have been some caching issue. Tried a week later and it worked again. So many issues appearing in the plugin are in actuality site problems at thetvdb.com.

You may try to delete the season (or series) from database only (!) and re-run the import wizard on that. That's the way it works for me. Don't know if there's a better way like doing some sort of refreshing. The plugin isn't very intuitive on that.

that make sense.. I couldn't believe it was a plugin issue aswell as this plugin totally rocks!

I have tried to delete the serie from the database a couple of times without a result.. Only the last time I deleted also the thumb folder from: C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\MPTVSeriesBanners, the posters where appear nicely.

So for now it's working fine..

An awesome feature would be this:

When a piece of artwork is missing: You can drag a picture to the empty space in the configuration, and the file will be automaticly uploaded to thetvdb.com. If that where possible???

But I don't know if the API from thetvdb.com supports this kind of interactive methods.
