In MePo 1.2.3, the "frequency -1" bug in mantis prevents you from changing/saving the US ATSC tuning details. But these fields are set when you scanned the channels and a "user" including me should not need to modify any of these fields. I can explain what is in some but not all of the fields Channel = 7, is the actual Physical/RF TV channel transmitted by this station. In this case VHF channel 7 Frequency = -1, Not sure what this does but for US ATSC this is always = -1 Major = 7 and Minor = 1 is the ATSC major and minor channel numbers. On a TV this would be channel 7.1 Modulation = 8 VSB is the name of the way ATSC TV bits are sent over the air. for US cable this would be QAM. Not sure what the other fields are used for, but you should need to modify any of this info. If you are using MePo 1.2.3 your best option for channel numbers is to enable "select by index" and "show channel numbers". This will shows channel numbers 1 to N in your EPG TV guide. See the following in wiki http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/141_Configuration/MediaPortal_Configuration/22_TV in MePo, I typically do not change channels by channel numbers and either go to the TV guide to select the channel I want to watch, or if I'm watching a show open the mini-guide by doing a mouse "double left click" or pressing "ok" on the remote. In MePo 1.3.0beta, there is an option to set your own channel numbers in "Edit Channel". See picture I uploaded. I use 4 digits for channel numbers so I can have the ATSC Major.Minor channels. In this example KTVU-HD 2.1 = 1021. In the ATSC Tuningdetail this is PhysicalChan = 44, Major = 2, Minor = 1 but I don't touch/change any of these fields. You can change the Name and ChannelNumber fields in "Edit Channel". I did this for the channels I enabled in the EPG but most of the time I still change channels using the EPG or mini-guide.
