This is a brand-new install on a new PC. I have it all running fine on another PC, but on this one, whenever I try to hit "TV On" I just get a blank "My TV" dialog box - and the TV doesn't come on.

The error logfile says:

Video Card : VIA S3G Unichrome Pro IGP motherboard chipset:

I think that this is the problem - you need a graphics card/chip that fully supports DirectX 9 .... and I don't believe that the S3G does support DirectX 9?

    Thanks for the reply!

This is apparently a subject of much debate :(

I just updated my drivers from the chipset page, rather than the older ones from the motherboard page (!) and I now have video running.

However, occasional "blue screen of death" crashes have replaced the original problem, and the GUI is anything but responsive.
