Hello,
I have tried everything on my hand, but I'm not capable of doing such this simple thing.
A process plugin which I have installed uses a hotkey to activate (by default is Ctrl+k, but is user-defined). To simplify things, I set the "º" key (not used by MediaPortal) as the plugin hotkey. Of course, I can activate the plugin with the keyboard.
Now, I want my original Microsoft MCE remote to activate the plugin. In other words, map a remote button to send/emulate the "º" keypress. It should be an easy task, I presumed.
But no way to to this.
In Remote Mapping section, there's no way to assign a key to a button. Also, plugin window ID is not listed in the windows list, nor in the actions list.
In Keys and Sound section, there's no way to create a "new action" which points to the plugin nor emulate the hotkey.
Tried to assign a preexisting action to the "º" hotkey, but does nothing.
Tried Generic Keyboard/Remote plugin, same as above: Plugin is not listed, not action nor window ID.
I didn't try EventGhost, don't want to load my system with memory-resident software just for a simple MePo plugin.
So, how to map a keypress for a new action on a Microsoft MCE remote? Shouldn't be so hard!!! Any help would be welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
