Hi
This is my first post.
:DFirstly thanks to ALL the people who have created this great software!:D
A small annoyance.
I can't find how to turn off channels I don't want in the EPG. In Australia some channels broadcast the same signal on 2 or even 3 channels. It makes the guide "longer" to have duplicate info.
Thanks:D

    Hi and welcome Colin :)

You can "turn off" channels in TV Server configuration by going to the "TV Channels" list and unticking the channels that you don't want to see. There are some buttons there to assist for common tasks like unticking all encrypted channels. If you're feeling adventurous, you might also like to try creating a few channel groups. There is information about all that and more in our wiki -->here<--.

    Thanks for the QUICK reply.:D

I have tried that and it doesn't work. I get all scanned channels displayed in the EPG.

I'm off to bed now, I'll follow up over the weekend.

    Hmmm - strange.

What version of MP are you using? Keep in mind that you need to untick the channels in the "main" channel list, not from within the channel group tabs. I'm also about to head to bed. I'll keep an eye on this thread though over the weekend...

    Hi again

    I FIXED IT!! :D

I wasn't using the TOP of the TV channels "page". I have now turned off the ones I don't need.

I used the rows to move my "best" channels to the top. It hasn't changed the channel order EPG display. I used the arrows to move the channels up/down using the TV-server Config program - it still has them in the order of the channel number (I would think). I can live with this.

    Second little problem:

I can't get the EPG (TV Guide) to display a program(say) at Noon tomorrow. When I use the arrows to change the day (arrows each side of the day/date) the dya displayed changes, but the time stays the same (8pm at present). Using the arrows NEXT to the 8pm only changes the number of programs displayed (it reduces the time interval displayed (eg only until 9pm, instead of 11pm). It won't go past 11pm if I expand the time interval.

    :D
    Your advice HAS been appreciated!

    Regards

    COLIN

    Hi again Colin

    I FIXED IT!! :D
    Great! :)
Note that in MP 1.2.0 final, unticking the channels in the channel groups will also work.

You shouldn't have to live with that. A few pointers:
    - reordering needs to be done in the channel groups, *not* the main channel list
    - moving to another section of TV Server configuration or clicking OK should save the order changes
    - MP would also need to be restarted to pick up the changes

I can't get the EPG (TV Guide) to display a program(say) at Noon tomorrow. Lots of people get confused by this. The EPG does actually scroll up/down (to reveal different channels) and left/right (to show different timeslots). Just "focus" one of the programs in the guide then use the arrow keys on your keyboard/remote to move to the right. Once you get to the edge of the guide, pushing right again will show the next program. You can also move up, down and left in the same way.
