    Hi

I have setup the EPG on my TV server and laid out the channels in the order that I want but the connected clients don't mirror the layout.

How can I downstream the EPG channel order to clients??

I tried Export from the TV server but there doesn't seem to be an import function on the clients :s

    Thanks

Do you mean you have created a group on the server of channels as favorites?
If so on the client go to your TV guide and far left your see all channels, select ok on there and your be able to select your group.

    Hope that helps

Great thanks. I didn't realise that I needed to create a new group of channels. Cheers :)

    Hi Charlie,

You 'don't need' to create a new group of channels, but it does help a lot. I have set up a new group in TV Server and called it "Favourites". This gives four groups in the TV Server - All Channels, Digital Satellite, Digital terrestrial, Favourites. I have a Freesat tuner and Terrestrial tuner and get something like 750+ channels, so the Favourites group is the easiest way to access the channels you want. You can shift the channels up and down the Favourites list, so the more popular ones are at the top. What I do is to break the favourites down into similar categories i.e. all news channels at the bottom of list, all Channel 4 (film 4, 4Seven, Channel 4, More 4 etc) all next to each other, same with the BBC's, then the ITV's, music channels clustered around each other too. The GF uses it without a hitch and has never complained about the way it is set up, which is highly unusual!

You can then add each of your tuned 'favourite' channels to your favourites group by putting your mouse over the channel in Tv server config and right clicking to bring up the menu and then select "add to group"

Thanks everyone. I created a new group and it's working great.

Thanks for such a great piece of software :)
