Well, I'm going to start with one small step at a time. I'll see whether I can get this feature to prevent recordings of programs marked as repeats sorted in the next couple of days. After that I can look at documentation for setting up ATSC and cable tuners. In the longer term I'll be carrying on with my research on Prime and InfiniTV 4 support. I guess what I would like to say is that things aren't going to change overnight (in fact it could take a year or more to add support for the CableCard tuners - a really big job) but I hope that we can make some serious improvements for American and Canadian users going forward...

As far as i can see the Microsoft legacy EPG grabbed with mc2xml does not show if the program is a repeat.

Any chance of posting a sample XML file for me to take a look at. There are potentially a number of elements/attributes that could be used to interpret whether the program is a repeat but if none of them are available then that would be a bit of a bummer.

This is Exciting! I am subscribing to this thread in the hopes that one day I can get EPG for US and switch my TV viewing and recording from MCE to MediaPortal!

Please let me know if you need any data/testing done that I could assist with. I have Three HD Homerun Dual Tuners that use Antenna Over the Air HD.

FYI: I've done some work on this feature this evening and have it very close to up and running. Just a few issues with the XMLTV plugin that are baffling me. Anyone keen to try my patch when it is complete?

I'd be happy to test it. I have used mc2xml on my main machine for a while now, but I have a machine I don't mind messing with.
