EPG not grabbing or only getting part of the data (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am trying to get the EPG to working. I have the tv server setup ,

On the card properties under TV Server, Grab EPG is ticked and enabled,

DVB EPG - Always try to fill holes ticked, Enable crc ticked, enable grabbing whil time shifting and idle ticked.

TV EPG Grabber has the channels i want tick and eng is selected for the language. Store data for only selected channels isnt ticked.

This works for some channels (Eg BBC), but it only get the currect program and the one after. How can i get it to get all the data and also the sky channels too.

What kind of EPG data is being broadcast? Since you're in the UK I suspect it is MHEG 5 for the 8/14 day guide and EIT for now/next. TV Server doesn't support collecting MHEG 5 data natively. You will have to import it somehow. I recommend trying this fantastic program. It can collect (and soon combine - I am working with the developers) multiple sources of EIT, MHEG 5, OpenTV, FreeSat, Media Highway, NagraGuide and Siehfern data. Output is in XMLTV format, which can be imported by MediaPortal's TV Server. Would strongly recommend it!

I have exactly the same problem as oliccm. DVB EPG picks only now and next playing program. That program you suggested doesn't help me

Well I can't help anyone if you don't tell me:

1. What kind of EPG is provided (eg. EIT, MHEG, Media Highway)?
2. Platform (eg. Sky UK, Freesat)?

With the EPG Collector, I can only guess that you are either grabbing the wrong kind of data or you're scanning the wrong frequency...

UK dvb-t will supply full epg, may take a couple of hours to completely fill + a reboot if you have changed any settings in config, found this out yesterday when nothing populated after a reinstall

I have DVB-C over UPC Telemach, Slovenia. I don't know what kind of EPG is provided, but i know that frequencies are 418000-562000 for channels, 6875 and QAM64.

I'm sorry, I've found it really hard to find info about your cable provider. I'm also really surprised that the program I suggested couldn't help you. What was wrong?
