I'm not sure if i've not configured MediaPortal properly, but there are a few things that aren't working the way I'd expect when it comes to watching UK DVB-T (Freeview) on MediaPortal via my Hauppauge Nova-TD 500 card:
1) I cannot select channels using the normal EPG/LCN numbers associated with a channel. It appears as if MediaPortal is using it's own numbering, where each channel is stored in the order it is found on scan. So, the 1st channel found gets number 1, 2nd number 2 etc.Is it not possible to use the normal Freeview EPG numbers?
2) It appears as if MediaPortal is not detecting the AR (aspect ratio) that a channel is broadcast in and displaying it on screen appropriately. ie. IF i watch something like BBC One thats broadcasting in Widescreen I have to manually select "Letterbox 4:3" zoom mode for the picture look be in proporation, then if i switch to a non-Widescreen programme/channel (like The Hits for example) I have to manually select the "Normal" Zoom mode. Again, have i not configured it correctly, as I'm pretty sure it should automatically adjust the zoom/aspect ratio according to the source (it does when playing Movies/Video from the My Video section). Also WinTV handles the aspect ratios appropriately, but I prefer using MediaPortal. It's really annoying to have to manually switch the zoom mode constantly.
Thanks in advance
