EPG Recording Problem (1 Viewer)

I've recently installed Mediaportal 1.02, everything works fine apart from the EPG recordings.
I select a show to record from the EPG. I get a nice screen showing me the future screenings
of the program and a record and advanced record button. It doesn't matter what I press but
I can't seem to get a recording selected. I've tried every button and every combination but nothing .....

I must have missed something in one of the config screens but I can't find anything..

Any Ideas?

Works without any issues here to schedule recordings (once, and series).

Got the same issue here at MP 1.0.1.0 for a few weeks in different ways.


1. Same issue like tonychapel discribes. I can't select a show at the recording screen by pressing enter.

2. Like Issue 1 but at the recording screen I press 'right' (Mediastream skin) and select 'Aufnehmen' (I think 'record' on english systems). The red dot appears at the show, the show is listed on the TV-Server as scheduled, but it isn't recorded. Altough I'm sure I've heard and seen that the TV-Server was working at the scheduled time but didn't record anything. The scheduled recording wasn't deleted in the listing at the TV-Server.

3. About every 3rd or 4th time I start MP I can't select a show at the EPG ('Return' on the selected show didn't open the Recording screen). Restarting MP solves the problem 'til the next time.



Sorry no logs at the moment. Next time this happens I will post the logs.

Please always use Blue3 for testing and not some communityskin which migh installs additional plugins and break you installation.

None of our team members can confirm the reported behaviour, and without logs we can not say anything.

i'm getting same behaviour as mentioned.

I'm using Verison 1.0.2, IPTV plugin, and blue3


This is what i get when i press "record":

Problem exists since i upgraded from 1.0.0. to 1.0.2. I'm using old database (mysql).

so it seems no one hs a solution.. i deleted mediaportal and everything and reinstalled.. to find similar but worse issue.. the recording directory boxes were still grayed out, but now i cant even start tv.. mediaportal client freezes when i click on tv.

erm.... how about clicking the "browse" button right next to the box? or which "box" are you talking about exactly?
screenshots would be very helpful.

and how about some logs of that "TV does not start"?

"it does not work" is somewhat useless.

haha yeah i know saying that is useless... alright.. u know the box where u select a recording folder, u know the one i mean as u said which has browse next to it.. one for recording folder one for recording temp folder.. in the past selected the folder using browse on one tuner, then copied the text and pasted it into the box for the other tuners. coincidental or not the first time ive seen that box grayed out is when my tv wasnt working.. i dunno..

it now works.. reinstalled tv server (didnt uninstall) just clicked fresh install.. selected master tv server instead of oneseat or whatever it is.. and then it worked now so happy .. got it working literally seconds before the good shows started at 8:30.. luckily...
