One thing I reallly miss about my built in TV EPG is that there was a function to schedule viewing (note, not recording) of TV channels, so that the TV would automatically switch stations when a preselected programme started.

I haven't been able to find a skin or a plugin that does the same for Mediaportal - (I don't think I have missed it - but let me know if I have). Can anyone suggest something?

Currently using Bleazlewide and I have noticed some functions which seem to be disabled - including "Alert Me" which sounds like it might have done the trick.

    Thanks for any help!

You can have mp notify you when programs are due to start. This is much improved in 1.2 and it will give you the option to tune to that channel

Well that sounds very helpful, thank you. I am currently running ver 1.1.3 and I assume the functionality is not available in this version and I should wait for the confirmed release of 1.2 ?

(Bleazlewide which I am currently using has "Alert Me" in the EPG program sub-menu, but it is greyed out and won't respond.)

The official answer would be to wait for the final 1.2 release, BUT many users have installed the 1.2.0 beta version and is very happy with it. Although it is still a beta, there have been a lot of improvements and bugfixes since 1.1.3.

From my personal point of view - very stable and worth a try.

Thank you. I am too much of a newbie to try the BETA version until I have the confidence to overcome bugs etc, so I'll hang on for now :)

I'll go on to my next problem...

    Thanks
