Is there any other view out there to display the EPG not in Timeline?

I want a view to select first the channel and then i see the EPG of this channel.
    Attached there is an screenshot.
For example TVCentral displays the EPG not in Timeline.

Yes this is right. I forgot this view :)

In TVCentral there was an view to display all programs at 20.15 (the prime time).
Its possibile to do this in MP?
OK, i can see in the timeline for 20.15 but i want a view like the "just running" within tv.

sky-like epg banner at bottom of screen

Hi everyone i agree with will Willith about his idea for an epg banner at the bottom of the screen that shows now & next but also allows you to browse whats on other channels without actually changing to them.

The ability to set reminders and record would be pretty handy too but mainly i just want to be able to see what else is on! The current now & next screen is good except that it takes up to much space so you can't see whats happening on screen.

Apart from this i think mediaportal is already extremly user friendly and intuitive but as long as everyone keeps chipping in their own ideas like this it can only get better!

The info about just/next running on TV is sometimes a skin feature. I haven't used standard BlueTwo for a long time, but this is what I get with Monochrome Skin while in TV:
    • 'Enter' shows a 'Now and Next' view for all channels (MiniEPG)
    • 'Y' shows infos about the current program and the name of the next one

I've got quite accustomed to this (since I've never used anything else). Maybe some of your ideas could be implemented through skinning?
