Yes, it would be.
The roadblock (well, actually it is more like a huge cliff in the middle of the road!) is that the TV Server architecture is totally geared towards reading and writing TS files, and TS files exclusively. This means that to support online streams, we'd have to repackage the streams into a TS (I imagine that to be a *very* tricky and unreliable task) or find another way to support timeshifting and recording for each stream type. It would probably be one of the most radical changes I could imagine.
