Error: "File Exists" in Online Update (1 Viewer)

    Help! I don't know what happened, but suddenly, when I try to "Download online update info" on the Options tab:
    1. I get a message: "Error: File exists"
    2. Then the Download window opens and the message repeats.
    3. After 30 sec to 1 min the Download window shows "Error Download"
    None of my files (KnownExtensions.xml or InstalledExtensions.xml in \Installer\V2) have changed or been updated.

    I tried cleaning the Cache but still got the same error. I don't think there is any problem in the Installer folder files because I even tried using my backup from when I first installed MP 1.1.0 and still have the same error.

    Is there a log file for MPEInstaller I can check somewhere? I don't get any errors reported in MediaPortal logs.

    I am not aware that anything has changed. So I have no clue what caused this error to suddenly appear.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks catavolt - good to know it is something on my end - well not good, but clearer :D However, I have no clue what to do to fix it :( reinstall MP? ARGH!)

    Dukus - you are my saviour, thank you! Deleting files from %temp% worked perfectly. I should have thought of that since my internet is crap these days and probably some file got corrupted when my connection went down.
