    Hi,
In "C:\Users\Your_Windows_Logon_Name\AppData\Local\Temp\MediaPortal Installation" can you zip or just attach "ApplicationLocations.xml" so I can test it here?

    Regards

    Hello!
    Which OS do you use?
    Windows 7 X64 Ultimate

    Can you check the folder:
    C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Temp\MediaPortal Installation\deploy

    where 'yourusername' is ........

    There you will find:
    package-mediaportal.exe
    package-tvengine.exe

Can you try to install MP with these two files? (Install package-mediaportal.exe first)
    Does this work?

That's better indeed. Now i'm struggling to install this server, as i have installed mysql separately it seems more difficult but i'll find what out hopefully (reading the wiki as i type)
    .
By the way, before i go any further, i'd like a confirmation that it's possible to use a dvb card (connected on usb or pci) and to stream the Tv channels( convert them in Ip address if i understand correctly) to Xbmc (Mediaportal add-on)

I'd need a good tutorial if that's possible...

Ok i'm good for MySQL/ Mediaportal tv server it i think, i have scanned the channels for my dvb card

Now i'm really struggling to install The add-on in Xbmc . I have downloaded it from Here, converted the .rar in .zip, then in xbmc "install from a zip archive" and it says "incorrect structure".I'm kinda stuck here

Im using Eden v11 (Pvr support??) not sure if that's the source of my problem
