Error: Unable to start Timeshifting - No audio video detected (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I'm trying to get MP to work with FireDTV DVB-C (BDA driver). (AMD system) My provider is Ziggo (the netherlands, Tilburg).

EPG works fine, preview in TV-Server configuration works.

But in MP itself I get the error:
Unable to start Timeshifting
No audio video detected

I've been surfing/googling the internet for a few hours now, but still no solution. Logfiles are in zip file...

I hope to read something soon, thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums.

Start MP in Debug Mode (from the start menu) and replicate the problem. Then post the resulting zip file here.

Also, update your user profile with your system specs.

I have almost exactly the same problem - except for that my MediaPortal is setup to German.
I am new in this forum, but I have entered my system configuration already.

Did you find a solution ?

does it work in the tvserver configuration console when you try "preview"?
do you have installed the dvb fix?

Hi,

in Preview it works somehow: I can open a channel and see the TV. If I close that window and try to start the Preview for another channel, configuration program is crashing.
If have not installed theDVB fix, but will do right away !

Hi Ichessblumen,

I have installed the DVB fix. Unfortunately it did not resolve the problem - or better both problems (incl. TV Server Configuration progrma crashes in Preview).

Any other thoughts ? If not, I#ll probably have to survive with the very instable TerraTec software.

Hi, i've the same problem when I deleted TIMESHIFT directory. Try to check in tv-server configuration -> Recording settings -> Timeshift folder. Check If this folder exist or so.

Btw, it will be nice if it warn you that folder does not exist instead of saying no audio/video detected

I had simillar problem yesterday, the weird thing was I couldn't get only one channel to show - Channel 9 (Australia). For some reasons only two channels 7 and 9 give me grief, picture freezes and usualy I can go to Home screen, stop timeshifting and when go back to MyTv it works again. This time I couldn't get the channel to work with the above message until PC was rebooted. Only after I completely rebooted PC everything started to work again.
